Akron Institute is an Independent Research Organization promoting the advancement of wisdom within communities. Akron Institute holds a focus on wisdom, how is it cultivated, how it is passed on, and how we can share that wisdom with the world.
Over the past year I have been traveling the United States recording deep and meaningful conversations with community elders and sharing those recordings with their families as a gift. I have been doing this for the purpose of sharing life lessons for people to learn from. With a series of 59 thought provoking, and insightful questions to guide these sessions, the interviewees talk about their lives and impart insight and wisdom that is invaluable.

Our elders hold a lifetime of wisdom. The purpose behind this concept is to intentionally absorb their knowledge and life experiences. We aim to create a collage of lessons on the meaning of life, defining moments. We do this by sharing raw and personal stories of the most traumatic and joyful experiences individuals have faced
Akron Institute was founded with the intention of sharing knowledge and messages with my inner circle and community members. I wanted to create a platform to share stories from the past with not just loved ones, but people within the community to spread knowledge about the past.
Interviews are being conducted and I am writing a curriculum and studying the patterns of the cultivation wisdom. We are growing our knowledge while seeking more opportunities for interviews.
We’re in the early stages of developing a new platform rooted in deep listening and intergenerational wisdom. Right now, this means engaging in meaningful conversations with our elders—gathering insights, stories, and values that often go unheard. This research is more than a starting point; it’s a foundation. Our long-term vision is to establish a think tank—not one focused on drafting better policies, but on mentoring and educating better people within real world experiences. We believe genuine, lasting change begins within, and by investing in personal development, ethical reflection, and community-rooted intelligence, we can foster the kind of leadership and thinking about the future demands.
